DESCRIPTION:Reel Nature | Children’s Conscious Filmmaking Workshop\nJoin us for a hands-on\, four-hour outdoor filmmaking experience for children ages 7–14. Kids will spin the Peace Keyword Wheel\, take their word into nature\, build a story around it\, and leave with a short film they made themselves — start to finish. No experience needed. \n\nWhat Your Child Will Experience\nDuring this workshop\, your child will: \n\nDiscover their creative voice through storytelling and nature\nLearn basic filmmaking and shot composition\nCollaborate with peers in a small\, supportive group\nEdit their own footage into a finished short reel\nLeave with confidence\, a new skill\, and something real they created\n\n\nHow the Day Unfolds\n\nGather and Group — Children arrive and are welcomed into small creative groups\nSpin the Wheel — Each group spins the Peace Keyword Wheel and receives their word for the day\nFind the Story — Groups discuss what the word means\, how it shows up in nature\, and what story they could tell\nFilm It — Everyone gets hands-on time behind the camera capturing footage in nature\nEdit and Screen — In the final hour kids edit their footage into a short reel they take home\n\n\nWhy This Works\nChildren are consuming more content than ever before — but rarely creating it. Reel Nature flips that. By grounding the creative process in nature and conscious awareness\, kids are not just learning filmmaking. They are learning how to observe\, how to listen\, and how to tell the truth of what they see. \nThis is not a performance. It is an experience.
